The Summary feature will create various summaries of a document.

To use the summary feature within Ivo, choose a playbook (or skip it), then:

  1. Select the Summary feature from the Ivo home menu.

  2. You will then have multiple options about the type of summary you want. It can:

    1. have the length of the summary be Concise (short form) or Verbose (long form).

    2. Use Simplified Language so it's comprehensive for non-legal professionals.

    3. Generate a variety of different summary types, including:

      1. General summary: A broad overview of the provisions of the document.

      2. Summary of key business terms: The primary commercial terms in the document.

      3. Summary of key risks: The biggest risks to your party in the document.

      4. Summary of changes: A breakdown of the markups in the document and their significance to it.

    4. You can also provide ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS if there's something more specific that you'd like to include in the Summary.

  3. After you've configured the Summary options to your preference, you can then click on Generate summary to create it.

  4. Ivo will then begin generating the summary, which you can copy and paste into a separate document, chat client, e-mail, or other text medium of your choosing as soon as the summary has completed.
